Home Remodeling in West Palm Beach
Whole-home renovation, kitchens, and bathrooms for West Palm Beach houses and condominiums. One crew carries the project from the first measurement to the last inspection.
Several Rooms, One Plan
Most West Palm Beach calls start with one room and turn out to be about the house. The kitchen prompts the call, but the hall bath shares a wall with it and the closets never worked. Treated as separate jobs, those rooms get torn open twice.
We plan them together. One walkthrough, one scope that shows every room and the order it will be built in, and one crew that stays with the project from demolition to the final walkthrough.
Our work is kitchens, bathrooms, whole-home renovation, tub-to-shower conversions, custom closets, and built-in cabinetry. We do not take small-repair or maintenance calls.

What Changes When One Team Owns the Whole House
A renovation that crosses several rooms fails at the handoffs. We remove the handoffs.
Every Room on One Drawing
Plumbing, electrical, and cabinetry are planned across the whole house, so the kitchen does not box in the bath next to it.
A Sequence You Can Read
Which rooms close, in what order, and for how long. The dated schedule is part of the estimate, not a promise made later.
The Same People Throughout
The crew that opens the first wall is the crew that sets the last piece of trim. Nobody has to relearn your house halfway through.
Living Space Kept Livable
When you stay in the house, we phase the work so a working bathroom and a place to cook stay open for as long as the plan allows.
Finish Work Held to One Standard
Tile, millwork, and cabinetry match from room to room because the same hands and the same eye are on all of it.
Insured, With Paperwork Ready
Insured in Florida, with certificates sent directly to your association or property manager when the building asks for them.
What a Larger West Palm Beach Renovation Runs Into
The city-specific questions that decide the order of a multi-room project, answered before the number is written.
Historic review comes in three sizes
West Palm Beach sorts historic applications into tiers. Staff Level (1) requests can be reviewed by staff alongside the building permit. Staff Level (2) needs a Certificate of Appropriateness, Minor, which staff can approve administratively when the proposal meets zoning and preservation requirements, and the city accepts those at any time. Board Level (X) needs a Certificate of Appropriateness, Major, and a hearing before the Historic Preservation Board.
The tier matters because the calendars are so different. A Board Level item follows the board's monthly meetings and a filing deadline two meetings out, while a staff item does not. On a whole-house project, one exterior change such as a new window or a relocated door can move the entire job into the slower lane, so we identify the tier with the city's planners before the scope is fixed.
Designation follows the address, not the street
The city lists 18 locally-designated districts and 46 individually-designated sites. A house can carry its own designation on a block where its neighbors carry none, so looking up the district is only half the check.
Interior work is not what the preservation ordinance and design guidelines govern. A renovation that stays inside the walls generally avoids that review, and one that changes openings, cladding, or the roofline does not. We confirm the status of your specific property at the start, because a whole-home plan is the kind of project most likely to touch the outside.
Check the flood zone before the scope
West Palm Beach publishes a Forerunner interactive flood map and will confirm a property's zone by phone at 561.805.6705. The city's own advice is to obtain a permit before making any improvements to a property.
On a single bathroom the zone rarely changes the plan. On a renovation that reaches across the house it can, so we look the address up at the first visit and confirm what the city requires for that property before anything is priced, rather than after drawings are done.
One city, three kinds of building
A whole-home plan here can mean an older house with plaster walls and original trim, a single-story block home from the middle of the last century, or a condominium above Flagler Drive. Each opens up differently and limits what can move.
The city's Planning and Permitting Research Tool helps at the planning stage. It checks a proposed project against current zoning allowances, lists the permits it would need, and gives a rough estimate of permitting fees, though it is not an application. We use it early, then handle the permitting process through EPL and the Civic Access portal and carry the inspections through to the end.
Permit procedures, historic regulations, flood maps, and building codes change. Everything above reflects the city's published information as of September 2026, and we reconfirm current requirements on every project.

Planned With the Rest of the House
A primary bath rebuilt around a freestanding tub and a stone feature wall. The fixtures, lighting, and stone were chosen before demolition, which is how the room lines up with the finishes in the rest of the home.

West Palm Beach Remodeling Questions
Does a whole-home remodel in West Palm Beach need historic approval?
Only the parts that change the exterior of a designated property. The city's preservation ordinance and design guidelines govern exterior modifications, so interior work generally is not reviewed. If the plan changes a window, a door, or the roofline, the city decides whether it is a staff-level item or a Certificate of Appropriateness, Major, heard by the Historic Preservation Board. We find out which before the scope is fixed.
How do I find out if my West Palm Beach house is designated?
Check the specific address, not just the district. The city has 18 locally-designated districts and 46 individually-designated sites, so a house can be designated on its own. The Planner on Call at (561) 822-1461 can confirm it, and we check it for you at the first walkthrough.
Can we stay in the house during a whole-home renovation?
Often, yes. We phase the work so a bathroom and a way to cook stay available as long as the plan allows, and the written sequence shows which rooms close and when. If your project is faster and cleaner with the house empty for part of it, we say so up front.
How does permitting work in West Palm Beach?
The Development Services Building Division reviews permit applications and oversees inspections. Everything runs through EPL, the city's digital platform, and its Civic Access portal, where permits are applied for, resubmitted, paid, and inspected. We handle the permitting process and carry the inspections through the project.
Do you renovate condominiums downtown and along Flagler Drive?
Yes. In a condominium the building sets the limits: shared plumbing stacks, elevator reservations, work hours, and association approval. We confirm those with the building before a layout is drawn and provide certificates naming the association.
Are you insured?
Yes. We are insured in Florida, and we provide certificates directly to your association or property manager when a building asks for them before work begins.
